Pyrography Video

So, yeah, I was messing around with Windows Live Movie Maker and put together this video of some of the Pyrography pieces Emily and I have done in the past year or so set to the awesome music of Kyle MacConnell who we first met at Health and Harmony House when he was performing live for an open mic night there. Then later he also provided the live music for an Art Auction held there which is when we asked his permission to use some of his music for a project like this.
Anyway, here's the result:

There is also a paintings one in the works but Em has 6 more paintings (I think she said 6) at any rate there's some new stuff in the studio that she's not quite ready to unveil yet. When those are ready we'll add them to the paintings video and get it posted up. So, enjoy and please share! :)

More Pay It Forwards and Other Stuff

Here's another Pay It Forward gift that we just finished up modeled after a T-Shirt design by the intended recipient which also says "I Made You A Special Doll". I wonder if she'll see this before she gets it?

One of our friends who is also receiving a Pay It Forward gift likes Cheshire Cats.

The guy that started this whole mess has the quote "If you don't know what it is, poke it with a stick." on his profile so...

Yet another of our Pay It Forward friends says she has Tree Hugging Family so we thought she might like this...

This one is part of a work in progress. You won't Believe (or maybe you will) where this is heading! :)

This too is a work in progress that is coming along rather nicely I think. :)

Owl on Wood - Pyrography

Earlier this year I responded to a Pay It Forward 2011 thingy on Facebook posted by Tony MonkeyMan Vrolijk and in it I agreed to make handmade or homemade items and send to the first 5 people who commented and they in turn would send such gifts to the 5 who responded to their status and so on. In the rules we were all given the whole of the year to get it done....well here's the text:

"Pay it Forward 2011: I promise to send something handmade/ homemade to the first 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this and send something they make to the first 5 people who comment on their status.(The rules are that it must be handmade/ homemade by you and it must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.)"

So anyway, Emily and I have been working together on these and this Owl is one of the gifts for one of our friends. Think they'll like it?

Projects In The Works

In between other projects I have been working on some of the Pay It Forward items I promised some folks on Facebook awhile back. Here are some "Work In Progress" shots of a couple of them we took during a recent photo shoot for some products in our Etsy Shop.

Raven's Nest sign by request. Almost done, just another coat of finish and some hardware to go...

Clover Hollow Sign for a friend. Shhhh, don't tell her about it. It's a surprise! ;-)
